Things To Do This Weekend – February 24-26

Things To Do This Weekend – February 24-26

For the first time in a long time, that I can remember, we’ve been experiencing VERY spring-like (almost SUMMER-like) temperatures in February. In the Metro Charlotte area, we ‘survived’ snow-mageddon last month, and all of a sudden it’s in the 80s? How does this happen? Flowers and finely colored trees are blooming, yards are full with green grass, and neighborhoods are exploding with kids and pets playing in the streets. The current conditions produce an innumerable amount of activities to enjoy as we near the end of the month. So, if we’re not going to get an impressive winter storm in 2017, then we may as well jump right into spring and take in the early gift of warmth and beauty.

Maybe you’ve had a tough month and you want to end it with a laugh. Maybe you’ve wanted to experience a bit of intrigue and mystery to stretch your emotions and your mind. Have you started, (or continued), a health regimen that would be supported by a class? Are you in the middle of wedding planning and need that extra ‘something’ to get those creative juices flowing? Or do you just want to be entertained by some of the best athletes in the area? Check out some of these events happening for the final weekend of February.

Things To Do This Weekend! – February 17-19

Things To Do This Weekend! – February 17-19

Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening! Whenever you are reading this, you may be, currently, thinking like I am about what to do this weekend. My wife travels a lot for work, and so the weekends, normally, are special times to be together and enjoy some of the simple things we both appreciate. Whether that is getting outside and enjoying a beautiful day at an event, taking a little road trip for a new experience, or finding an unknown little shop or restaurant that is a ‘hidden’ gem. It takes effort and intentionality, but there are many, many options that can make this coming weekend memorable. You may say, “that is my usual time to clean the house, do laundry, wash the car, etc.” and that is just fine in itself. But, if you’re able, maybe plan ahead a little. Take a few extra minutes to knock some of the mundane things out, and take a breath this weekend to do something fun with the friends, family, or family pet. You work hard. You’re on the go so much. Life is too BUSY, and too SHORT to not take in our Charlotte metro area and all that it has to offer. So without further ado, here are a Few Things to Do This Weekend.

If your neighbor is anything like mine, then you know how this event would get them (and yourself) all excited. He can’t get ENOUGH of a good cigar. He has one when he cuts his grass. Things To Do This Weekend!

So, it’s nearing the end of January. Across our country, there are A LOT of areas where people are curious (and scrambling) as to what they’ll do this weekend, particularly because of the weather and time of the year. However, in Metro-Charlotte, it’s looking like you’ll have the opportunity to stay inside, or go outside, and involve yourself with plenty of activity. Highs around 53 degrees and sunshine; Yes, we’ll take that. After all, you have a week ‘off’ from football, as most Americans will be watching the Super Bowl on February 5. So, this weekend is an ideal time to take advantage of some of these exciting things happening in our area. Maybe it’s been “one of those” weeks and you just need to laugh. Perhaps you’re in the mood to experience something new and pick up a new skill. Are your kids taking dance classes and you want to expose them to first-class professionals? Or,  do you just want to eat some good food; (don’t forget about RESTAURANT WEEK). The Queen City wants to open its arms to you and yours and provide some wonderful outings. Let’s take a look at just a few Things to do This Weekend!
