Things To Do This Weekend – March 17-19

Things To Do This Weekend

UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN… Could we possibly have any more random weather and temperatures the past couple weeks? I planted grass about a month ago in my front yard, and this past weekend there was snow in that front yard. A few weeks ago I was wearing shorts, washing my car, even spreading out on my deck furniture. This morning I found myself wearing ‘long johns’, gloves and a scarf. It’s no wonder that there are sicknesses going around and quick ‘In & Out’ wellness clinics are handing out prescriptions left and right. Regardless of what you think of the Metro Charlotte weather so far for 2017, the middle of March always provides a wealth of fun and exciting activities, both GREEN and NOT!

If you’ve never taken part in a FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY, then you don’t know the enjoyment of gathering around some of the best prepared food in the area with friends. If your week has been ‘one of those weeks’, and you’d like nothing more than to get out with your family for the day, then nothing beats the CHARLOTTE ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE. And even though there’s no NCAA Basketball in our area, the CHARLOTTE HORNETS always turn up the heat in the Spectrum Center.

Forget the weather. Go ahead and dress for the event, whether inside or outside, and indulge in all of the exhilarating and interesting events that the Queen City offers this weekend!

Things To Do In March 2017

Things To Do In March 2017

Whether it’s the chirping of the birds to start your day, the cool afternoon breezes, the opportunity to get some things done outside, or the fun activities you can take part in as spring rolls in, there are many reasons that we can appreciate the month of March. I recently took advantage of the above normal temperatures and got my front yard aerated and seeded. Thankfully, (about 10 days in) I’m finally seeing some sprouts and anticipating a nice(r) looking front yard in the coming weeks. Again, just another pleasing aspect of the changing of the seasons, LIFE! We are very fortunate to live in Metro Charlotte, where there’s always life happening all around us. How many times have you turned on the television, listened to the radio, or looked online, only to find out that there’s nothing going on in your area? Well, even though we are separated by a computer/mobile device screen, I’m fairly certain I just “heard” a resounding, “NEVER” across the room. In the Queen City, there’s never a dull moment. Maybe you went on a Segway tour of the city last week. Maybe you went to a ballet last month. You, quite possibly, attended a sporting event last year. If you keep going back over your experiences and activities, you’d be hard pressed to have a ‘repeat’ occurrence, simply because our/your hometown, is in a continual state, of providing some wonderful LIFE opportunities. The month of March is no different, and we’d love to offer some these categories and events for you to plan your next adventure. Comedy, food, ballgames, culture, education, and FUN, the kick off to spring 2017 is full of possibilities.
