The Mint Museum Uptown houses the internationally-renowned Mint Museum of Craft + Design, as well as outstanding collections of American, contemporary, and European art. Designed by Machado and Silvetti Associates of Boston, the five-story, 145,000-square-foot facility combines inspiring architecture with groundbreaking exhibitions to provide visitors with unparalleled educational and cultural experiences. Located in the heart of Charlotte’s burgeoning uptown, the Mint Museum Uptown is an integral part of the Levine Center for the Arts, a cultural campus that includes the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture, the Knight Theater, and the Duke Energy Center, and features a range of visitor amenities, including a 240-seat Auditorium, Family Gallery, studios, Café, and Museum Shop.

Parking
Parking is available at the Levine Center for the Arts Garage, located in the Duke Energy Center and accessible from West Stonewall Street or South Church Street.
The Levine Center for the Arts Garage contains approximately 200 visitor spaces located on levels P1 and P2, which are available for visitors to Levine Center for the Arts. Parking is provided on a first-come first-served basis. The cashier booth accepts cash, debit cards, MasterCard, and Visa. Personal checks are not accepted, and receipts are provided for all cash or credit transactions.
Parking Rates
Parking is available for vehicles up to 9-feet tall in the Levine Center for the Arts Parking Garage located on Stonewall Street between Tryon and Church Streets. Discounted parking rates for the Center for the Arts Parking Garage are:
- $ 1 First half hour
- $ 1 Each additional half hour
- $10 Weekday max (more than 5 hours)
- $ 5 Weekday in-after-5pm max
- $ 5 Weekend max
Parking tickets must be brought into the museum for validation to receive the above rates. Non-validated tickets will pay the regular parking rates. These reduced rates apply to visitors parking at the Center for the Arts garage on the visitor levels (P1 and P2). Rates are applicable except during a special event – i.e., Panther’s games, street festivals or parades.
After you park your vehicle, head for the Plaza Elevators (as opposed to the Tower Elevators). Level “P” will take you to the street level and the Gift Shop. Level 2 will take you to the entrance of the museum.
