The Bechtler Museum of Art is the only museum in the southeast dedicated to 20th century modern art. It features a one-of-a-kind collection in a building designed by one of the most accomplished architects practicing today.
The museum houses an intimate and diverse family collection amassed by Hans and Bessie Bechtler and added to by their son Adreas over 70 years. The collection includes more than 1,400 works of modern art from almost every medium and key movement of the 20th century, from Expressionism to Cubism to Pop art.
