Can you believe it? This is the final weekend of April! It seems like it was only a few days ago we were talking about the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, and the Queen City Feast Week. Time certainly is a well-oiled string that is quickly sliding between our fingers. Now, as we complete April, and move into the beginning of May, there are thoughts of pools, vacations, new memories, and ‘freedom’. Over the next several weeks, young people will graduate from High School and College. Families will travel to their traditional get-away destinations and neighborhoods will be filled with kids playing in the streets (yes, that still happens in 2017). What about you? What does the changing of the seasons and (progressive) spring months mean to you? The availability of the nicer, warmer weather certainly opens the Queen City up to all kinds of exciting events and participation opportunities. Even though the school year end is close at hand, it’s never a bad idea to learn something new as a family. Even though you may have that intent on working that “extra” couple hours for your vacation fund, there are some fantastic charity events going on that you could contribute to (and have a lot of fun at). If you want to experience a new food, or be vastly cultured by some talented artists, this week’s edition of Things To Do This Weekend will help put you in the right direction. As we close out April, take the following examples as gifts the Charlotte Metro area has provided and get out and LIVE!
