Things To Do This Weekend – April 28 – 30

Things To Do This Weekend – April 28 – 30

Things To Do This Weekend

Can you believe it? This is the final weekend of April! It seems like it was only a few days ago we were talking about the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day, and the Queen City Feast Week. Time certainly is a well-oiled string that is quickly sliding between our fingers. Now, as we complete April, and move into the beginning of May, there are thoughts of pools, vacations, new memories, and ‘freedom’. Over the next several weeks, young people will graduate from High School and College. Families will travel to their traditional get-away destinations and neighborhoods will be filled with kids playing in the streets (yes, that still happens in 2017). What about you? What does the changing of the seasons and (progressive) spring months mean to you? The availability of the nicer, warmer weather certainly opens the Queen City up to all kinds of exciting events and participation opportunities. Even though the school year end is close at hand, it’s never a bad idea to learn something new as a family. Even though you may have that intent on working that “extra” couple hours for your vacation fund, there are some fantastic charity events going on that you could contribute to (and have a lot of fun at). If you want to experience a new food, or be vastly cultured by some talented artists, this week’s edition of Things To Do This Weekend will help put you in the right direction. As we close out April, take the following examples as gifts the Charlotte Metro area has provided and get out and LIVE!

Things To Do This Weekend – April 21 – 23

Things To Do This Weekend

Sometimes you just need to laugh. Sometimes you just need to take a walk with your best friend. Sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone and try a new food. Maybe, sometimes you look at your surroundings and recognize how good life is and want to grasp any opportunity to enhance it, make it better, in a very simple way. That’s the hope with this, Things To Do This Weekend list. We experience so much busyness, anxiousness

We experience so much busyness, anxiousness, & uncertainty during the work week. There’s rarely enough time to appreciate the “good” things in life. Comedy has the actual ability to make someone feel better. Supporting and contributing to a great cause provides an amazing sense of gratification and humility towards others. Stretching your mind and pushing your body can open you up to brand new perspectives and a ‘better’ you. All of this weekend’s fun events and activities are all about the GOOD things in life. Whether you’re in the heart of The Queen City, the Lincolnton area, Matthews, or across the NC-SC line in Fort Mill, these will (all) bring some smiles to our community.

Things To Do This Weekend – April 14 – 16

Things To Do This Weekend – April 14 – 16

During the year, there are certainly times that you KNOW that something big is going on. It’s not necessarily every day or every week. If they were that common, then these incidences wouldn’t, in large part, be considered ‘big’. When you walk through a drug store or grocery store, home decorating retail shop or any shopping mall where there is a specific character for children to take pictures with, there are clearly signs that another one of THOSE yearly moments is at hand. Balloons and baskets; candy and eggs; dresses and suave suits; Sometimes, word descriptions provide enough for the imagination, to conclude a special holiday. So, the question remains: WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR YOUR EASTER WEEKEND?

There are many across the Charlotte Metro area, who will enjoy a much needed 3 day weekend. Believe it or not, we are a third-of-a-ways through the year, and the Easter Weekend is sometimes a refreshing time to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Others step back and examine their home ‘to do’ list, pull up their sleeves, and obtain a relieving amount of satisfaction from getting things done. Finally, there are events and activities that take place, that enable the communities finest to enjoy some wonderful friends and family time. This week’s edition of, “Things To Do This Weekend” features some opportunities to indulge in food, music, health, hobbies, entertainment, and much more! This is a special weekend in 2017… So get out and make the most of it!

Things To Do This Weekend – April 7 – April 9

Things To Do This Weekend – April 7 – April 9

Things To Do This Weekend

In this week’s installment of, “Things To Do This Weekend”, there’s an unintentional common theme. It’s the beginning of April, so one would HOPE that an area as vibrant as Metro Charlotte would present A LOT of OUTSIDE activities. Races, Easter happenings, volunteer opportunities, puppy walks and outside dining; there’s really no better way to spend your weekend than taking in these early spring days. I can remember being 7, 8 years old around this time of year, going to easter egg hunts, spending time at the park with family and friends, riding bikes and playing side-yard baseball. Video games (Nintendo particularly), were fairly new, so we actually wanted to go outside and get out some of that ‘kid energy’. There’s just something about early April that brings back a lot of memories and this weekend you have the opportunity to create some lasting impressions of your own. If you want to laugh and be entertained, then we’ve got you covered. If you want to give back to our community and feel fantastic about your contribution, then that is open for you as well. Music, food, healthy living, family events and MORE – Memories are made every day in the Queen City and this weekend could create some times you’ll never forget… *Like taking a picture, in 1986, with a blown up Easter bunny in front of a flag pole*.
