1200 New Jobs Coming To Charlotte Area
Connextions, Inc., an Orlando based company, announced it’s expanding its operations with a fifth location in Charlotte. The new location is expected to generate over 800 jobs for Charlotte, and an additional 400 jobs at its already existing Concord location.
Recruiting for the new positions is set to begin this week. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is to be held in July with Connextions President Steven Auerach, followed by a job fair at the redesigned 61,000 square foot facility located in Forest Park, off Arrowood Road.
“Connextions is excited to be expanding our business in North Carolina, where we have already had great success driven by an exceptional workforce,” said Auerbach. “As we continue our growth as the preeminent health insurance exchange provider for the public and private sectors, we are proud to support our ‘firmly onshore’ stance by having 100 percent of our employees located in the United States.”
“We are excited that Connextions has chosen Charlotte. This four-year Inc 5000 winning firm has continued to invest locally, bringing jobs and economic growth to North Carolina for more than three years,” said Kati Hynes, vice president of Economic Development of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. “Connextions’ continued commitment to our state and their decision to bring additional jobs to our community during these challenging economic times demonstrates the excellent relationship fostered between our state and Connextions.”
“These 1,200 jobs will predominantly serve the needs of Americans wanting education and support regarding their healthcare and health insurance needs,” said Todd Baxter, Executive Vice President of Connextions’ Consumer Division. “We will be looking for talented individuals who enjoy having a purpose in helping others understand their best healthcare options, how to appropriately leverage their health plans, and how to get well and stay well.”
